Любимое время года

Лето – мое любимое время года, потому что в это время тяжелые и напряженные школьные дни остаются позади и нас ждут длинные каникулы. Я всегда планирую множество интересных вещей на летние каникулы.

Куда обычно езжу

Почти каждый год я провожу каникулы в деревне в доме бабушки и дедушки. Я обожаю это место, потому что там очень красиво. Там есть река и лес, куда мы с друзьями ходим собирать грибы и ягоды. В хорошую погоду мы также любим купаться в реке и загорать. Кроме того, я всегда рад помочь бабушке и дедушке по дому или в саду – полить растения или собрать фрукты и овощи. Я люблю ходить на рыбалку с дедушкой и потом жарить рыбу на костре. И что немаловажно, у меня есть возможность подышать свежим деревенским воздухом и на время забыть о городской пыли и смоге. Я и в самом деле прекрасно провожу время с бабушкой и дедушкой. Если бы только я мог навещать их чаще.

Как я провел прошлое лето

Прошлым летом мы с родителями ездили на море. Это были мои первые каникулы на морском побережье, и я даже не мог себе представить, что все будет настолько замечательно. Мы поехали в августе, и нам повезло, что все время была солнечная погода и теплое море. Было так приятно ничего не делать, а только загорать и плавать. Там было много всяких развлечений, но больше всего мне понравилось катание на водных мотоциклах и дискотеки. Я также строил замки из песка с моей младшей сестрой и учил ее плавать. Мне также удалось завести новых друзей, и мы весело провели время вместе. Мы также ездили на экскурсии. Больше всего мне запомнилась поездка на джипах через реки и горы. К сожалению, время пролетело очень быстро, и нам нужно было возвращаться домой. Однако, до школы оставалось еще несколько недель, и я провел это время, читая книги, слушая музыку, смотря телевизор, играя в компьютерные игры и гуляя с друзьями.

Заключение

В заключение хотелось бы сказать, что я обычно с радостью возвращаюсь в школу, потому что могу встретиться с друзьями учителями, но потом я начинаю снова ждать летних каникул.

Summer Holidays

My favourite season

Summer is my favourite season of the year because hard and busy school time is over and long holidays are waiting for me. I always plan a lot of wonderful things to do during my summer vacation.

My holidays

Almost each year I spent my holidays in the country at my grandparents’. I adore that place for its landscape. There is a nice river and the woods where my friends and I can gather berries and mushrooms. We also enjoy swimming in the river and sunbathing when the weather is fine. Apart from this, I’m always ready to help my grannies around the house or in the garden watering plants and gathering fruit and vegetables. I like going fishing with my grandpa and cooking the fish over the fire. And one more thing which is worth saying is that I have a chance to breathe fresh country air and forget about the dust and the smokes of the city. Indeed I have a great time in the country with my lovely grandparents. I wish I could visit them more often.

Last summer

Last summer I spent my holidays at the seaside with my family. It was for the first time and I couldn’t even imagine such excellent holidays. We were there in August and were lucky to have sunny weather and warm sea all the time. It was so pleasant to have a rest doing nothing except taking sunbathes and swimming. There were different kinds of entertainment but best of all I liked water scooters and discos. I was also playing with my little sister on the sand and taught her to swim. Besides, I made some new friends and we had a lot of fun together. We went on several field trips. The one I will never forget was riding a jeep across numerous rivers in the mountains. Unfortunately the time passed very quickly and we had to return back home. However, there were still two more weeks left before school. I spent that time reading books, listening to music, watching TV, playing computer games and going out with my friends.

Essay My summer holidays

Everyone knows that for all students the best time of the year is summer holidays. First of all, you’re free from school and may forget about textbooks, lessons, homework for all three months. Moreover, you don’t have to wake up early every day and have all this annoying routine. So you just have the opportunity to relax and enjoy perfect summer time.

As for me, my summer is quite typical from year to year. I usually spend June at home. I get up late all the time and try to be outside with my friends as much as possible. I really enjoy cool summer evenings when my friends and I can go for a walk in the park or ride around the city on our bikes. Also, we like rollerblading a lot. If the weather is bad I normally stay at home playing computer games or just surfing the Internet.

Then July I usually spend in the countryside with my grandparents. I have a lot of friends there as well. We often go to the lake for swimming or sunbathing. It’s always active time and we have a lot of things to do together.

August is the most interesting month. My parents usually have a vacation at this time so travelling to different countries is the best activity before I go back to school. My parents and I love travelling all over Europe. Thus, we have already visited Italy, Spain, France and Czech Republic. We prefer city holidays with a lot of excursions and sightseeing. But we can also combine it with a beach holiday as we did it in Italy and Spain. It helps to keep the balance between active and peaceful rest.

So, I suppose that summer must be full of rest, going out with friends and obligatory travelling. This year my family is going to Greece and I’m looking forward to having an exciting time there.

Всем известно, что лучшим временем года для всех учеников являются летние каникулы. Прежде всего, ты свободен от школы и забываешь об учебниках, уроках, домашних заданиях на все три месяца. Кроме того, тебе не нужно вставать рано каждый день и соблюдать весь надоевший распорядок дня. Таким образом, у тебя есть возможность расслабиться и просто наслаждаться чудесным летним временем.

Из года в год лето довольно таки типично для меня. Июнь я обычно провожу дома. Я все время встаю поздно и стараюсь проводить как можно больше времени на улице с друзьями. Мне очень нравятся прохладные летние вечера, когда мы с друзьями можем пойти на прогулку в парк или прокатиться на велосипедах по городу. Нам также очень нравится кататься на роликах. Ну а Июль я обычно провожу за городом у бабушки с дедушкой. У меня там тоже много друзей. Мы часто ходим на озеро искупаться или позагорать. Мы всегда очень активны и у нас есть чем заняться вместе.

Август — самый интересный месяц. У моих родителей обычно отпуск в это время, поэтому путешествие по разным странам — отличное занятие перед началом учебы. Мы с родителями любим путешествовать по Европе. Мы уже посетили такие страны как Италия, Испания, Франция и Чехия. Мы предпочитаем городской отпуск с большим количеством экскурсий и осмотром достопримечательностей. Но мы также можем совместить его с отдыхом на море, как это было в Италии и Испании. Это помогает соблюдать баланс между активным и спокойным отдыхом.

Итак, я полагаю, что лето должно быть наполнено отдыхом, встречами с друзьями и обязательно путешествиями. В этом году моя семья собирается в Грецию, и я с нетерпением жду отличного времяпровождения там.

Undoubtedly, all schoolchildren are so eagerly waiting for their holidays to come. In Russia school holidays, or as they are called school breaks, occur four times a year: in spring, in autumn, in winter and in summer. It is a brilliant opportunity to take some rest from your studies, to gather new strength and to revise the material learnt.

The summer vacation is the longest break in the school year. So, in Russia schoolchildren usually have 3 months break from school during summer. This starts in June and ends in the end of August. Summer vacations always revive the best memories in our mind. It is the time for travelling, fun and pleasure. People usually spend much time out in the open air as the weather is fine. Sometimes they leave town for the country and have a wonderful time there swimming, sunbathing and playing different games. Most people go to the seaside and recharge their energy for the whole year. As far as I am concerned, I like to catch beautiful sunsets at the beach, look at the stars and listen to the murmur of the sea waves. If I stay in Rostov, I meet my friends and we try to arrange something interesting. We often go to the movies and concerts, dine out at the open-air cafes and go roller-skating.

The autumn vacation usually lasts for a week. Schoolchildren usually spend most of their time at home because the weather is usually cold and rainy. They play computer games, watch TV, read books or listen to music. But if it is “Indian summer”, people enjoy warm and quiet weather. In this case one can walk in the park and admire the colorful beauty of autumn leaves.

The winter holidays are always much fun. Winter is a good time for skating, skiing and sledding. Children like to play snowballs or make a snowman. Besides, on the 31st of December Russian people see the old year out and see the New Year in. So, New Year’s Eve is a very busy time. People attack shops stuffing their bags with presents for their relatives and friends. All shops are nicely decorated with toys, tinsel and garlands, and everywhere you can feel the spirit of the holiday. As far as I am concerned, I usually celebrate this holiday with my family and friends. On the 1st of January we usually come to see our relatives. We sing karaoke and dance.

One of the most exciting times during the year is the spring vacation. It is the time when nature awakens from its long winter sleep and the snow begins to melt. First spring flowers such as snowdrops and tulips appear everywhere. Everybody enjoys the beginning of spring. People often go for walks in the park, have picnics or sit by the lake in order to enjoy the sunshine and the natural beauty of the world. Besides, spring is a good time to revise the material learnt and to prepare for exams.

При упоминании о летних каникулах в памяти всегда всплывают лучшие воспоминания. Это время путешествий, веселья и удовольствия. Люди обычно проводят много времени на открытом воздухе, поскольку стоит отличная погода. Иногда они уезжают за город и отлично проводят там время, купаясь, загорая и играя в различные игры. Осенние каникулы длятся всего неделю. Школьники обычно проводят все свое время дома, потому что погода обычно холодная и дождливая. Они играют в компьютерные игры, смотрят телевизор, читают книги или слушают музыку. Правда, если это “бабье лето”, то все наслаждаются теплой и спокойной погодой. В этом случае можно погулять в парке и восхититься всеми красками осенней листвы.

Зимние каникулы всегда приносят массу удовольствия. Зима – это отличное время для катания на коньках, лыжах и санках. Детям нравится играть в снежки и лепить снеговиков. Кроме того, 31 декабря россияне провожают старый и встречают новый год. Канун Нового года – время суеты. Люди атакуют магазины, наполняя свои сумки множеством подарков для родственников и друзей. Все магазины красиво украшены игрушками, мишурой и гирляндами, а повсюду чувствуется дух праздника. Если говорить обо мне, то я обычно праздную этот праздник со своей семьей и друзьями. Первого января нового года мы обычно навещаем наших родственников. Мы поем в караоке и танцуем.

Весенние каникулы – один из самых захватывающих периодов в году. Это время, когда природа пробуждается от долгого зимнего сна и начинает таять снег. Повсюду появляются первые весенние цветы, такие как подснежники и тюльпаны. Все рады наступлению весны. Люди часто ходят на прогулки в парк, организовывают пикники или сидят у озера, наслаждаясь восходом солнца и естественной красотой мироздания.

Holidays
What is the best time for schoolchildren? Holidays, of course! Autumn, winter, spring and definitely summer holidays. These are the times when you can forget about homework, school and teachers.
Usually autumn holidays are not very exciting. The weather is getting worse, it"s raining and you don"t have much opportunity to walk outside for a long time. During autumn holidays my friends and I usually spend time at each other"s places playing computer games.
Winter holidays are much more interesting! I like skating and my family usually goes to the skating rink in a nearby park. Sometimes my friends and I go outside the city to the ski lodge. We rent skis and go cross-country skiing in the forest. Just before the New Year"s Day a big fir tree is set in our park. It is decorated with garlands and large toys. Ice hills are also made in the park. I like going to the park with my younger sister and my friends. At New Year"s night my family usually goes outside. My father and I make a fireworks display. My mother always says that it is dangerous, but we all know that she likes our fireworks. We also congratulate everyone who we meet with the New Year and they congratulate us back. I like it that people are so kind during this holiday!
The longest term is behind and spring holidays come. It is getting warm every day, streams are flowing in the streets. It is fun, but you should be careful not to slip on the spring ice and fall in a puddle! I walk with my friends, go to the cinema, ride a bike or roller-skate.
At last summer has come! The books have been taken back to the library, now other children will use them next year. Summer is my favourite season. I can wear only a T-shirt, jeans or shorts and light trainers or flip-flops. I have three months of rest which I can devote to myself and to my friends. During the first two weeks of summer holidays my family and I go to some resort. We have already been to Turkey and Egypt and this year we are going to Spain. We like sunbathing and swimming in the sea. I wish we could do this all year round!
Then we go back to the city and my sister and I go to our grandparents" country house. It is not worse than holidays at the sea. Our country house is rather far from our city - about two and a half hours by car. But it is worth going there anyway. I take a bike and a games console with me. I meet my friends there. I see some of them every day at school and I don"t see others for the whole year, so I have an opportunity to meet them again and catch up. We ride bikes, sunbathe on the river bank, swim in the river and communicate with each other.
I wish holidays were all year round!
